Water on the floor can't wait for a contact form.

What do people search when water is where it should not be?
Plumbing searches are urgent and specific: "burst pipe," "water heater leaking," "clogged main drain," "sewer smell in basement" and "emergency plumber." Planned jobs show up as "water heater replacement cost," "tankless water heater" and "bathroom remodel plumber."
Buyers want four answers fast. Are you available now? Is there a trip fee? Are you licensed? Do you cover my town? They will also check reviews before dialing, so make those easy to find.
Which pages should a plumbing site have?
- Emergency page: what to do first (shut off the main), your after-hours number and when it is answered.
- Water heaters: repair and replacement, with a plain explanation of what changes the price.
- Drains and sewer: clogs, camera inspection and line repair, if you do them.
- Repairs and fixtures: faucets, toilets, sump pumps, fixture installs.
- Service towns and credentials: the places you serve and your license details.
What does Michigan expect for licensing?
Plumbing is licensed under the Skilled Trades Regulation Act, administered by LARA's Bureau of Construction Codes. The Act says a person cannot work at the business of plumbing without being licensed or registered, and that only a licensed master or journey plumber performs plumbing. A plumbing contractor license requires a master plumber, either the applicant or an employee who represents the company. Plan to name your licensing in a sentence on your About page. Whether a license number must appear in your advertising is something we have not confirmed, so check with LARA or your attorney.
What mistakes do plumbing sites make?
- Claiming "24/7" when nobody answers at 2 AM. Say what is true, and the right customers will still call.
- Hiding the trip fee. People feel tricked when it appears on the invoice.
- Making a contact form the only option for an emergency.
- Skipping photos from real jobs, such as a finished water heater install.
- Listing towns in one long footer sentence instead of saying where you work.
A short form that lets people attach a photo of the problem saves a trip. Our prices are posted: a 5-page site is $2,500. Heating companies often share water heater and boiler work, so the heating and cooling page may help too.
